The orchid has been prized for centuries as the epitome of beauty, elegance, and rare strength. With Bionics – Orchid, this natural allure is impressively translated into modern coin art.

The centerpiece of the coin is the artful coloring, which brings the blossom to life in radiant, metallic shimmering shades of violet and lilac. Every ray of light reveals new facets, making the surface appear like a living work of art.

Another outstanding feature is the polygonal structure, which lies like a fine, geometric net over the petals. These low-poly elements lend the coin a modern, crystalline aesthetic, creating a captivating interplay of natural form and precise geometry. The mintage of this edition is limited to 999 pieces.

This striking collector coin immortalises Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1oz of pure silver in celebration of her 100th birthday anniversary.

Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926 and ascended the throne in 1952 at the age of 25, following the death of her father, King George VI. She married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947, and together they had four children. Her reign spanned 70 years, making her the longest-serving monarch in British history. Throughout her life, she was a symbol of resilience and dedication, guiding the monarchy through decades of profound social and political change. As Head of the Commonwealth, she fostered unity across diverse nations and remained a steadfast figure on the global stage. Queen Elizabeth II passed away on 8 September 2022, and was succeeded by her eldest son, King Charles III. In 2026, the world commemorates what would have been her 100th birthday—celebrating a life of service, dignity and devotion to her country and the Commonwealth.

The coin’s reverse includes five effigies of Queen Elizabeth II, each featured on coins produced by The Perth Mint. At the centre is the most recent effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark (2019), elegantly framed in an ornate design. Surrounding it are four earlier effigies: Ian Rank-Broadley (1998) at the top left, Raphael Maklouf (1985) at the bottom left, Arnold Machin (1966) at the bottom right, and Mary Gillick (1953) at the top right. Together, these portraits reflect the evolving image of the monarch across seven decades of her historic reign.
he background features Australia’s national floral emblem, the golden wattle, symbolising the nation’s connection to the Commonwealth. Arranged clockwise from the top, are motifs of St Edward’s Crown, the Sovereign’s Orb, Tudor Rose, and Sovereign’s Sceptre - each signifying key elements of royal tradition and authority. Surrounding the design is the inscription 'H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II 100th ANNIVERSARY', accompanied by stylised dots, the 2026 year-date, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The obverse features a colorized reproduction of the painting “Winter," with elements such as the majestic lacy birch trees, the glistening lake, and the overcast winter sky. The painting has been transferred to the coin using glaze, texture and mirror surface, of varying intensity.

The reverse shows the plaster model of the same painting with several types of surfaces, worked in different ways, to a more or less intensified glaze effect.

The anchor has a broad meaning. It symbolizes stability, solidity and protection, as it keeps a ship safely in the water and prevents it from drifting away. It stands for stability in difficult times, but also for the interplay of a thirst for adventure and the desire for a safe return. It is often worn by people who have a connection to the sea or who associate a longing for freedom with a safe harbor. In maritime circles and beyond, the anchor is used as a lucky charm that symbolizes protection from danger.

The coin impresses with its exciting combination of different qualities. Black proof finish in the background, partial gold plating of the anchor and other matt design elements make this coin something very special.

With this new addition to our portfolio, we visually embody the natural balance with the representation of opposites. On the front, the classic white swan parades its flattering plumage, whereas the back features a unique black swan. No doubt the rare sight of black swans is owed to the fact they are only very seldom found beyond Australia and New Zealand. The natural balance is wonderfully mirrored with this beautiful piece of art.
