Lunar Year issues are always popular with collectors, and the ones CIT strike for Mongolia have become annual favorites! The 2023 issue, which features the «Year of the Rabbit», will celebrate the 7th anniversary of the series. Like in past years, there will be three distinct and highly collectible releases – a unique one ounce silver coin in the shape of a Rabbit, a five gram silver banknote, and a half gram gold proof.

The first is struck in one ounce of fine silver and shows the sweet silver rabbit as a three-dimensional numismatic sculpture. Have a look on its cute face and the floppy ear. It will immediately make you smile. It is minted in a way that allows it to stand freely on its own which makes it an ideal display and conversation piece. It comes presented in an elegant collector’s box and is limited to only 888 pieces.

As we focus our attention on commemorating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2022), the Mint will not be issuing any 2023-dated Canadian circulation coins featuring both the traditional reverse designs and an obverse featuring Queen Elizabeth II.
Each coin’s obverse is double-dated (“1952-2022”) to commemorate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The wheel of the zodiac signs is engraved on the coin's gold-colored crown. One sign stands out from the background because it is larger than the others and has a sandblasted background, different from the smoother one of the others. This is the Pisces symbol. The right part of the wheel is drowned in a wave, in reference to water, the element of this sign. Two long- finned fish swim in circles in this water. In the background, a starry sky with the Pisces constellation.
