Winnie the Pooh is the much-loved, ‘silly old bear’ who has won over the hearts of generations of readers. Now, Pooh Bear is starring on a coin struck by The Royal Mint for the first time, and he’ll soon be joined by more of his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.
Pooh has been captured in one of E. H. Shepard’s original illustrations enjoying a ‘smackeral’ of honey, joined by a friendly bee – a detail that you’ll spot on the other coins in the series.
This coin is a purely commemorative edition so you won’t find it in your change. Each coin comes with a fold-out wallet where you can find out more about Winnie the Pooh, his friends and the Hundred Acre Wood

The silver coin of the Czech Mint from the gift series with the motifs of the 12 signs of the zodiac will become not only beautiful, but also a valuable talisman for anyone born under the sign of Sagittarius.
Old star charts attribute the constellation Sagittarius to the form of a mythical centaur, half man and half horse, armed with a bow and arrow. Some see him as Cheiron, others as Fola - wise figures from ancient mythology and friends of the demigod Heracles. According to the teachings of astrologers, people born under the sign of Sagittarius tend to be optimistic or even idealistic. They are also confident adventurers who are always looking for new challenges. They are full of enthusiasm and so can sometimes appear arrogant or reckless. Another characteristic is their sincerity, which is sometimes so strong that it unwittingly hurts...
The unusual oval-shaped coin bears a coloured depiction of Sagittarius on the reverse side. No photographs or computer graphics were used as the basis for the colouring - the author of the coin, Asamat Baltaev, DiS., created an original watercolour painting. The relief in the background behind Sagittarius presents a disc with a dozen zodiac signs. The composition of the reverse is supplemented with the Latin inscription SAGITTARIUS and the corresponding astrological symbol. As the coins of the Czech Mint are issued with the foreign licence of the island of Niue, the obverse side bears its national emblem, the nominal value of ONE DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of issue 2021. All this is surrounded by twelve astrological signs.
The coin is placed in an elegant box.
