Unique silver coins with cut Bohemian crystal are the result of an unparalleled worldwide combination of traditional crafts from Jablonec nad Nisou - medal making of the Czech Mint and glassworks of the Preciosa. The motif of the Tree of Life became a new addition to the Crystal Coin gift series in 2020.

The trees give us the oxygen to breathe, the fruit strengthens us, the wood warms us and protects us, and last but not least, it is a pleasure for the eye and soul. Each of us should have deep roots, a strong trunk and a rich crown like a healthy tree. Not surprisingly, trees are one of the most worshiped symbols in the world and significant trees are found in most of the world's cultures. For example, the Bible tells of a tree of knowledge - an apple tree that was a symbol of immaculate humanity and whose forbidden fruit was tasted by Eve. Chinese mythology tells of a peach tree - its roots are guarded by a dragon, the crown is protected by a phoenix, and the only fruit that ripens every three thousand years will ensure immortality. In the Nordic sagas we find Yggdrasil - an ash that represents the universe. Whether their meaning is religious, philosophical or folkloric, all these trees express the ancient concept of the "tree of life" that symbolizes the unity and interconnection of all creation.

The medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS. dedicated the reverse side of the coin to the traditional depiction of the tree of life in a circular composition, where the leaves of the tree form cut crystal stones. The Czech-English inscription presents STROM ŽIVOTA - TREE OF LIFE. Since the Czech Mint coins are issued with the license of a foreign issuer, the island of Niue, their obverse sides bear its essential attributes - the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD), the year of the issue 2020, the name of Elizabeth II. and the portrait of Queen surrounded by decorative branches.

The coin comes in a limited edition of 1000 pieces and presents an original gift for a number of occasions. It is stored in an elegant packaging that can be used as a practical frame.

Celebrations of a new birth take different forms in different countries. Americans celebrate in advance, so the party takes place three weeks before childbirth and it is accompanied by a wealth of useful gifts. In Germany, on the contrary, they believe that giving presents or organizing celebrations before the baby is born brings bad luck. Russians, like Americans, enjoy practical things, therefore, congratulators often take care of the complete kit. Mexicans carry cigars into the families where the baby boy was born, otherwise the gift is chocolate. They also enjoy special sweet gifts in the Netherlands, Belgium or Iran. And what about the Czechs? They began to rediscover the magic of a precious metal coin given in the cradle. But most mothers, regardless of nationality, certainly agree that organizing the celebrations is the last thing they think about before and after coming back from the maternity hospital. On the contrary, almost any culture must not miss daddy's drinking …

The reverse side of the commemorative coin presents a combination of embossed relief, cut Bohemian crystal and traditional symbolism. The feet of a newborn baby are tiny, fragile, and cute - they grow like a weed and commemorate the moment of how tiny the baby was when his parents brought it home. The coin was processed by medal maker Irena Hradecká, DiS. The legs complement other children motifs along with an Czech-English inscription K NAROZENÍ DÍTĚTE - NEWBORN BABY. Since the Czech Mint coins are issued with the license of a foreign issuer, the island of Niue, their obverse sides bear its necessary attributes - the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD), the year of the issue 2021, the name of Elizabeth II. and the portrait of Queen surrounded by a series of footprints.

The 2020 coin comes in a limited edition of 600 pieces and presents an original yet traditional gift.

Everyone hopes that he or she will find happiness in the form of a four-leaf clover. The Czech Mint decided to make this a little easier for everyone and prepared a silver coin with Czech crystal from the Crystal Coin gift line.

Clover is an ordinary herb with a modest appearance - it has a purple flower and a trifoliate leaf. However, approximately one plant out of ten thousand differs from its relative species - it has one extra leaf. Finding such a rare specimen in a meadow is not easy at all. It is no wonder that the fourth leaf of the four-leaf clover, which according to legend was brought by the biblical Eve from the Garden of Eden, has always been associated with happiness. The other three leaves then represent hope, faith and love. If you want a four-leaf clover to provide you with its magical power, you need to carry it with you - dried and pressed. Our ancestors, who wanted to protect their home, also placed it under the threshold. Moreover, the girls who wished to see the future groom in the dream put it under the pillow for a change.

The reverse side of the coin, which was processed by the medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS., presents two four-leaf clovers - one in the form of a relief ornament and the other composed of cut crystal stones. The composition of the reverse side is supplemented with a Czech-English inscription of ČTYŘLÍSTEK PRO ŠTĚSTÍ - FOUR-LEAF CLOVER FOR GOOD LUCK. You will also find the decoration in the form of an indicated heart-shaped leaf on the obverse side. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are licensed by the foreign issuer, the island of Niue, they bear the attributes of the obverse - the name and portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2021 and the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (WST).

The coin comes in a limited edition of 1000 pieces and is an original gift for every occasion. It is stored in an elegant packaging which you can easily turn into a practical frame.

January’s birthstone is a fiery red colour that exudes warmth and energy, even on a cold winter day. Garnet is the gem of friendship, loyalty and trust. It is said to bring tranquility and health to those born in the first month of the year. Flanked by three smaller Swarovski® crystals and surrounded by a Celtic art-inspired design, the colourful Swarovski® crystal at the centre is a token of good fortune—not just in your birthday month, but for the whole year. And with the help of a bezel kit (not included), your coin will easily become a cherished piece of jewellery that expresses who you are.

Do you need to find a gift for someone born in January? Then order this gorgeous coin!

The reverse design by artist Pandora Young is an intersection of art and mathematics, and features a stylized pattern arranged according to the base-six system. Inspired by the Celtic triskele, the engraved art incorporates three clear Swarovski® crystals into our birthstone celebration of those born in May ( emerald), as represented by the gem-like Swarovski® crystal at the centre of the coin. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

The coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell with a black beauty box.
