January’s birthstone is a fiery red colour that exudes warmth and energy, even on a cold winter day. Garnet is the gem of friendship, loyalty and trust. It is said to bring tranquility and health to those born in the first month of the year. Flanked by three smaller Swarovski® crystals and surrounded by a Celtic art-inspired design, the colourful Swarovski® crystal at the centre is a token of good fortune—not just in your birthday month, but for the whole year. And with the help of a bezel kit (not included), your coin will easily become a cherished piece of jewellery that expresses who you are.

Do you need to find a gift for someone born in January? Then order this gorgeous coin!

The reverse design by artist Pandora Young is an intersection of art and mathematics, and features a stylized pattern arranged according to the base-six system. Inspired by the Celtic triskele, the engraved art incorporates three clear Swarovski® crystals into our birthstone celebration of those born in May ( emerald), as represented by the gem-like Swarovski® crystal at the centre of the coin. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

The coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell with a black beauty box.

The silver coin of the Czech Mint from the gift series with motifs of 12 signs of the zodiac will become not only a beautiful, but also a valuable talisman for everyone who was born in the sign of Gemini.

The constellation of Gemini is dominated by two bright stars, Castor and Pollux, named after the inseparable brothers and sons of the ruler of the gods Zeus. According to an ancient ancient myth, one of the brothers was immortal and no longer wanted to live after the loss of his sibling. Their father made them a celestial constellation so that they could be together forever. The sign of Gemini is characterized by duality and is associated with everyday life - with all the variability, instability and contradiction that it brings. Gemini are intelligent people who are interested in everything, communicate skillfully and orient themselves very quickly. They want to evolve in all directions, fly from one topic to another, and therefore tend to have a comprehensive general view.

The non-traditional oval-shaped coin bears a colored depiction of Gemini on the reverse side. Photographs or computer graphics were not used as a template for coloring - the coin's author, Asamat Baltaev, DiS., created an original watercolor painting. The relief in the background behind Gemini presents a disk with a dozen zodiac signs. The composition of the reverse side is then completed by the Latin inscription GEMINI and the corresponding astrological symbol. Because the coins of the Czech Mint are licensed by the foreign issuer, the island of Niue, their obverse side bears its national emblem, the nominal value ONE DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of issue 2021. All this is surrounded by twelve astrological signs.

The coin is stored in an elegant box.

The Athenian Owl tetradrachm, renamed after the Greek goddess of wisdom, is arguably the most popular and recognized ancient coin. It represented about a week’s pay for ancient Greek soldiers. It is said that President Teddy Roosevelt carried an Athenian Owl as a lucky piece. The owl was associated with Athena very early on in archaic artworks and often depicted perching on her hand. Because of its strong connection with the goddess, the owl evolved into the Athenians’ own icon and graced a large variety of coins such as the tetradrachm from as early as the 5th century BC.

Since owls were believed to be foreseeing future events they became a representation of wisdom and intelligence. On the other hand, due to their nocturnal existence, these animals were equally linked to the occult and the Otherworld. Their mysterious habits, silent flight and haunting calls have earned them the reputation of superstitious and fearsome beasts in many parts of the world.

This ravishing masterpiece is kept in an antique look and impresses with its astonishing ultra high relief. A fascinating contribution to the history of coins.
