CIT is very proud to release the 2nd edition of a coin honoring a very famous work of art! Fabergé Eggs are known as priceless treasures that were specifically made for Royalty and some of the wealthiest families in the world. Last year for the 100th anniversary of Peter Carl Fabergé’s passing, we brought out the first Fabergé Egg which sold out very quickly.

This time the coin is dedicated to the famous Rose Trellis Egg which was created in Saint Petersburg under the supervision of Peter Carl Fabergé. Much of the work was done by his workmaster Henrik Wigström in 1907. The Rose Trellis Egg was a gift from Tsar Nicholas II to his wife, Alexandra Fedorovna commemorating the birth of their son. Each of Fabergé’s Imperial eggs contained a surprise, to delight the tsarevich. This particular egg hid a diamond necklace and an ivory miniature portrait of Alexandra Fedorovna framed in diamonds — unfortunately, these items are now lost to history.

Peter Carl Fabergé is a registrated trade mark of Fabergeé (UK) Limited (www.faberge.com) and is used with the consent of Fabergé (UK) Limited.”

A new series dedicated to vases, which are considered the most expensive and famous in the whole world.

The first coin from this series “Chinese Dragon” features a small blue and white dragon porcelain vase that was sold for just about £5million – barely in 500 times more than it was estimated! The dragon vase dates back to the Qianlong period. It contains an intricate dragon motif and is beautifully decorated with bands of plantain leaves, waves, as well as a cloud-collar at the waisted neck and broad shoulders. The sides are densely painted with six meticulously rendered five-clawed dragons portrayed emerging from crashing waves and flying amid stylized clouds and flames.

A magnificent coin featuring a porcelain inset in the shape of a vase that is an incredibly fine piece of Chinese porcelain!

The silver coin of the Czech Mint from the gift series with motifs of 12 signs of the zodiac will become not only a beautiful, but also a valuable talisman for everyone who was born in the sign of Taurus.

The constellation Taurus was named after an ancient Greek legend about Princess Europe, whose extraordinary beauty enchanted Zeus. The ruler of the gods then cunningly transformed into a white bull, so that he could kidnap the beauty and have it only for himself. Like mythical princesses, people born under the sign of Taurus have their own charm, refined taste, romance and sensuality. They often cling to the material side of things, and therefore like to be surrounded by beautiful objects. No wonder - their lives are influenced by the planet Venus, named after the Roman goddess of beauty, love, spring and rebirth. Other qualities of the Bulls in human form are permanence and realism, which, however, can grow into stubbornness.

The non-traditional oval-shaped coin bears a colored image of the Bull on the reverse side. Photographs or computer graphics were not used as a template for coloring - the author of the coin, Asamat Baltaev, DiS., created an original watercolor painting. The relief in the background behind Taurus presents a disk with a dozen zodiac signs. The composition of the reverse is completed by the Latin copy of TAURUS and the corresponding astrological symbol. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are licensed by the foreign issuer, the island of Niue, the obverse side bears its national emblem, the nominal value ONE DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of issue 2021. All this is surrounded by twelve astrological signs.

The coin is stored in an elegant box.
